Born and raised in Central Florida, Katal1st is a southern music artist/rapper and producer. Coming from humble beginnings, being raised by a single mother for most of his childhood, music became an outlet for expression at an early age. Growing up in Florida, being taught by his uncle how to fish, hunt, and work the land, country music was always a staple. Hank Williams Jr. and Jonny Cash were always on the radio in the truck on the way out to the woods. Back at home with his mother in more urban environments, he developed an appreciation for Tupac, Juvenile, and Trick Daddy. These country and hip-hop influences show up in his music and are definite part of his heritage. Katal1st recently released his debut EP “Huckleberry” with long time friend and music partner $moky Blacc. (Both artists are part of the touring hip hop rock band On The Avenue.) This release can be found on all major music outlets with the single “Tennessee” having an official music video release on YouTube. Recently Katal1st has moved to Nashville, TN where he’s working on new music and performing live. New releases are expected by late 2023.
