Zee is a soulful pop artist who came into prominence during The Voice SA Season 2, where she scored herself a chair turn from Kahn, singing Nigerian artist Asa's Jailer, and made it to the Top 16 of the series. Zee was first recognized publicly when she entered the first season of Clash of the Choirs SA in 2013, representing the Gauteng 20-piece choir which ultimately claimed third place overall in the competition. This BSc Honours graduate from Rhodes University's passion for music started at a young age in Grahamstown in Eastern Cape where she was involved in local talent searches, school choir and ensembles and had the opportunity to tour to Europe in 2011 to perform in the International Cantus MM Music Festival organised in Salzburg, Austria. She has also performed at the annual Grahamstown National Art's Festival, sharing the stage with a local creative group Blah Ze Blah.
