At each show, Kontra lays siege to its audience, throwing out tunes that move from explosive riffs to quietly powerful melodies. Each time, it is a dynamic performance, during which the foursome easily find themselves lost in their own world, creating an exuberant sort of intensity—and everyone is invited to the party. 
 Kontra has been taking the stage at various bars and clubs in and around Metro Manila, and there are some familiar faces in the lineup. Kontra is Mon Legaspi on bass, Francis Aquino on drums, Armand Quimpo on guitars, and Jeyvi Castillo on vocals/guitars. It is an assembly of musicians with a combined 20 years of rocking shows and music making between them. 
 Its first single, Naghihintay Sa’Yo, broke through the airwaves in June 2015, a few months after the band was formed. The track became a favorite on the weekly top 5 list of RadioRepublic.ph. This was followed by the release of the single Feels So in December 2015, which was made available on CDs, and on digital format via online and social media platforms.
