GMSTRR is an indigenous rapper, producer, writer and engineer coming from the plains of central Canada, a quiet place where he grew up in pursuit of musical identity. Starting with rock bands and metal music, he slowly made his way into hip-hop culture due to the timing of the rock rap crossovers and the environment he lived in. As a kid, he grew up in one of the bad places in the inner city. He turned to making beats and rapping with locals as a way to deal with things and find a way out. Eventually linking with like minded individuals and sharing his craft with whomever he could. A heavy follower of the culture, from turntableism, to beatboxing, graff and freestyling, hip-hop and music have taken his life to places where nothing else could. Equipped with genres cannot be narrowed down to just one though. From instrumental, trap, edm and even jazzy cuts, to heavily complex lyrical flows, to simplistic wavy rap and back to boom bap, you're sure to find something you might vibe with.
