Biography

Los Angeles-based producer/songwriter/DJ DallasK is one of the defining voices of today’s dance music generation with an inimitable sound that seamlessly traverses the realms of EDM, pop and beyond. He now breaks new sonic ground with his latest singles “All My Life” and “Self Control,” out February 2 and distributed independently in partnership with Kobalt/AWAL. The two tracks, which both feature DallasK himself singing for the first time ever, mark a stark shift in his musical aesthetic, moving away from an electronic-centric sound to a style that’s truly limitless. “All My Life” is an uplifting celebration of life featuring bouncy basslines, chunky synths and an inspiring vocal performance from DallasK, while “Self Control” serene acoustic guitars and full-on rock balladry atop blissful vocals and lovesick lyrics. DallasK credits his newfound artistry and self-actualization to his collaborations with major artists in the pop and electronic realms including his work on the five-time platinum-selling single, “Work From Home,” from pop/R&B sensations Fifth Harmony, which he produced and co-wrote. His discography also includes chart-topping releases on the top dance music imprints including Musical Freedom, Revealed Recordings and Ultra Music; collaborations with Tiësto, Hardwell, KSHMR and Adventure Club; and remixes for The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Galantis, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell, Ke$ha and many others. —John Ochoa
