If anything, it’s the freedom in music which drives the very mind of Mark Maguire. Currently living in Perth, Western Australia, with his roots in Cork City, Ireland, this up-and-coming producer & DJ once fell in love with the club scene and decided he wanted to be more than a spectator. And so, he dedicated himself to the electronic dance game. Drawn to those decks, hooked on all-destroying basslines and devoted to that element of freedom only true clubheads will understand, he now sets out to blaze his own, musical trail. A journey of its own. DJ devotees will absolutely agree – there’s magic in the art of deejaying. When Mark was just a teenager, a visit to a local discotheque planted the seeds to greater plans and unlocked a new passion. Fascinated with a set of Numark CD Mix 1 decks and the way the DJ used it to work the crowd. Besides mastering the DJ decks, he committed himself to online tutorials, books on music theory, composition, mixing and mastering, and learning from other producers, wanting to create something that other people will get joy from. A joy he had felt so many times before, since witnessing the likes of Armin, Tiësto, Fergie, Judge Jules, and many more, at GodsKitchen back in 2005.
