The first song he had released was "Is There a Heaven" by Russell Arms. Singers who recorded Hazan's songs include Ritchie Valens, Wanda Jackson, James Darren, Gene McDaniels, and Johnny Crawford. Hazan also worked as a session musician and arranger. He is the featured piano player on "Nut Rocker" by B. Bumble and the Stingers. Hazan also recorded under pseudonyms including Al Anthony, Crazy Luke and Dudley Duncan, and The Galaxies (aka The Royal Galaxies). As a producer, Hazan released over 50 records on labels including Capitol, United Artists, and Columbia. He worked with Fred Astaire, Herb Alpert, Terry Melcher, Lou Adler and musicians Hal Blaine, Carol Kaye and Glen Campbell. Hazan left the music business in mid-1960s. He became a real estate broker, an author, a fashion photographer, and returned to college to earn a Ph.D. in Psychology in 1990. Al Hazan died at the age of 84, in Los Angeles, in 2019. His music remains popular in film and TV placements.
