Weapon of Choice’s iconic catalog will be digitally released and available to stream across all digital services starting February 14, 2020 with the band’s debut album, Nut Meg SeZ Bozo the Town, featuring breakout hit song “Nutty Nut*meg Phantasy”. Weapon of Choice first hit the scene in the early 90s founded by South Central Los Angeles native Lonnie “Mega Nut” Marshall, lyricist, vocalist and extraordinary bass player. Shortly after hitting the scene, Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard signed the band to his Sony Records imprint, Loosegoove Records. They play a mixture of funk, rock, alternative, hip hop, jazz and reggae called Nutmeg, a term created by Marshall. The revolving door of some of the worlds funkiest and amazing players has included impressive line ups over the years such as co-founder Keefus Ciancia (Emmy nominated musician, composer and music producer), Tom-bone Ralls, Finn Hammer, Mark Cross, Audra Cunningham, Gabby Lang, Arik Marshall (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Macy Gray), Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam, Critters Buggin, David Bowie, Elton John, Fiona Apple), Philip "Fish" Fisher (Fishbone, Justin Timberlake, House of Pain, Lady Antebellum, and Christina Aguilera), Norwood Fisher (Fish Bone, Trulio Disgracias), Lamont Sydnor (Sly Stone, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars) and of course, Jellybean!
