Biography

Rosalía is a 2-time Grammy Award and 12-time Latin Grammy Award winning recording artist and producer who leapt to the forefront of the global pop landscape on the strength of her musical fusions and distinct style. Hailed for her musicianship, she has shattered barriers for both female and Spanish language recording artists. Rosalia’s breakout album “El Mal Querer” meshed an innovative fusion of Flamenco and other music styles of Spain with her phenomenal vocal capability. Highlights include her first Grammy Award, the first ever Best New Artist Grammy nomination for a Spanish language artist, 8 Latin Grammys and placement on numerous Best of Year & Decade lists. In 2022, Rosalía released her landmark album MOTOMAMI which she wrote, performed, recorded and executive produced. The album’s highly anticipated arrival was met with rapturous critical and commercial acclaim. MOTOMAMI debuted at #1 on Spotify’s Global Album Chart (a first-ever accomplishment for a Spanish artist), had the strongest Billboard chart debut of any 2022 Latin album and had the highest Metacritic rating of any album released that year. Rosalía also performed on Saturday Night Live and created a first-of-its-kind TikTok Live that attracted well over 3million viewers and earned a Grammy Award Nomination. In fall 2022, Rosalía launched her sold out MOTOMAMI WORLD TOUR, a massive 46 show run across 15 countries. Rosalía supports music education through her work with the Grammy Museum.
