Stockton, California rapper EBK Jaaybo focuses on hard, relentless verses about crime, violence, and bloodshed. Though his lyrics are brutal, they're far more aggressive than his delivery, as he seldom raises his voice. He began recording songs in 2018, and he released several mixtapes, including 2021 and Sinners Prayer (2023), before the haunting single "Boogieman" took off in 2024. Jaymani Gorman took the name EBK Jaaybo when he joined EBK HotBoizz, a group founded by his cousin, EBK Young Joc. Jaaybo's father, known as the rapper Rrari, first took him to a recording studio when he was a teenager. The single "Dondadda" appeared in 2018, when Jaaybo was 15 years old. "Bloodbath" and "Purge" both arrived in 2019. Two mixtapes, 2021 and Letter 4 the Streets, were released in 2021, and Rrari 4eva followed in 2022. Sinners Prayer appeared in 2023. After "Black Bottle Boys" and "Probably Cursed" were released in 2024, "Boogieman" became Jaaybo's biggest song to date, reaching the Top 40 of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
