Princeton Brown is a recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and songwriter based out of LA with Jamaican heritage. Princeton’s father was born in Jamaica, and throughout his life, Princeton would often join his Father on trips back to Jamaica where he’d help him put on large-scale DJ events for what is said to be reggae music’s toughest crowd. In other words, if your music wasn’t good enough, the audience would let you know it - Jamaican crowds can be quite vocal if they are not vibing with your sounds. As a child, Princeton was exposed to a great many genres of music, but he’s most proud to feature currents of reggae and dancehall in his work–sounds pioneered in Jamaican music. Princeton Brown started out playing the piano and the drums, but over time, his curiosity led to songwriting, performance, mixing, and producing. Having such an intimate relationship with both melody and rhythm alike, Princeton has a natural talent for blending seamless arrangements and ear-worm pop hooks. Princeton's artistry can be described much like the festivals he and his father put on. There are pockets of vibrant color in every corner, each sound lifting in tandem with beats that often change course, masterfully so, throughout any given track. There’s community and “Jah” with everything Princeton does, especially when he’s creating a garden of sound.
