Biography
PPJ (the Franco-Brazilian trio composed of Páula, Povoa and Jerge) refuse to be bound by geography or genre, melding elements of baile funk and samba from Páula's native Brazil with club music more commonly found this side of the Atlantic. Whether it's a traditional cuíca side by side with a rumbling kick drum, or subtle bossa nova acoustic guitar interspersed with UK-inspired techno rhythms, this is a group that transverses continents and resists being pinned down.
