"Two Ghosts weaves a captivating spell." - The Big Takeover “Everett is so pristine, so perfect a singer it seems that he can do no wrong.” - Allmusic On his new LP Two Ghosts, Wayne Everett weaves together threads of ocean-haze indie-psych, delicate jangle-pop, shimmering swirls of shoegaze, and languid ballads; all built on a foundation of tasteful, meticulously crafted songwriting. Known for his work with indie stalwarts Starflyer 59, The Prayer Chain, and The Lassie Foundation, on Two Ghosts Everett embarks on an exploration of identity: of who we are, of who we should be or can be, and of those around us who help shape who we become. Everett came up in in early-90’s post-shoegaze alternative rock scene in Southern California, playing drums with Tooth & Nail icons Starflyer 59. He both played drums and wrote for The Prayer Chain, and truly grew into his own as a songwriter with The Lassie Foundation, an LA-based band most active in the late ‘90s/early 2000s. Their music has been featured in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, the skateboard documentary Stuntwood, and the Australian version of the "The Bold and the Beautiful" soap opera. Their guitarist, Jeff Schroeder, now plays in the Smashing Pumpkins. The Lassie Foundation has opened for the New Pornographers, the Walkmen, Low, Imperial Teen, Creeper Lagoon and others.
