Biography

Born and bred in South Central Los Angeles, AzChike’s intense raps over trunk-rattling production is the embodiment of the new West Coast sound. In a region lush with vivid storytelling and unique flows, AzChike has made a name for himself with an aggressive voice that occasionally drifts into a bona fide growl, coupled with unapologetic rhymes that manage to completely avoid a cluttered sonic landscape. As the de facto leader of the AzCult collective out of L.A., AzChike quit his day job in early 2015 after he saved up enough money to pursue his dream of music by purchasing his own production and recording equipment. After a slew of EPs (one of them including his track “Burn Rubber Again”, which has amassed over 17 million streams across all platforms), AzChike dropped his first full-length project, My World, in March 2018. He performed at Rolling Loud later the same year, cementing his meteoric rise in the Hip-Hop scene. Producers like LowTheGreat and AceTheFace have helped AzChike find his own lane by stripping down each track to the bare essentials, in turn thrusting his already iconic voice into the limelight. AzChike has worked extensively on songs with other up-and-coming L.A. rappers Rucci and 1TakeJay, who is a part of R Baron Group, the same collective as AzChike along with several other popular West Coast acts. Over the past year, AzChike has spent his time touring with Shoreline Mafia and working on his second full-length effort.
