Biography

Lolene Everett (born 12 March 1985), professionally known simply as Lolene is a British former recording artist, songwriter and performer turned music executive. While in Bristol, Lolene began singing backing vocals for Martina Topley-Bird (vocalist for Tricky) and also collaborated with local drum and bass pioneer Roni Size. On relocating to London, Lolene signed a development deal with BMG Records to front their latest girl group. She wrote the group's material, but left shortly after to pursue a solo career and focus on her songwriting. Lolene moved to Los Angeles and signed to Beluga Heights/Sony ATV after being discovered by record producer J.R. Rotem (Rihanna, Britney Spears) and his manager Zach Katz. Initially hired as a writer, Lolene began developing her personal sound with the help of Rotem and other producers. Lolene went on to sign an artist contract with Capitol records and released critically acclaimed songs such as 'Sexy People' and 'Rich' ( Fake it til you make it)
