BURN IT DOWN released their first (and only) full-length album in 2000. Let the Dead Bury the Dead earned KKKK in Kerrang! and 4/5 in Alternative Press. The album was produced by Ed Rose (The Get Up Kids, Coalesce) at Red House Studios in Eudora, Kansas. The group's previous releases included the Burn It Down 7"/CD (Uprising), the Eat, Sleep, Mate Defend 10" /CD EP (Escape Artist), and the Make Them Talk split-12"/CD with Racetraitor (Trustkill/Good Life). The Indianapolis-based band made appearances at Hellfest, Milwaukee Metalfest, and Krazy Fest. Burn It Down toured with In Flames, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Zao, Shadows Fall, Nevermore, Candiria, Cave In, Isis, and Earth Crisis and played shows with Botch, Soilent Green, The Juliana Theory, Misfits, Gwar, Eighteen Visions, Throwdown, Brothers Keeper, The National Acrobat and even Metallica (!) before disbanding in 2000. Burn It Down played a "final" show at Hellfest in Syracuse, New York in 2001. The band reunited four years later for a one-off show at the Midwest Music Summit in Indianapolis.
