Biography

THE RIBEYE BROTHERS' MUSIC IS BEST DESCRIBED AS 60'S GARAGE, WITH ADDITIONAL INFLUENCES INCLUDING PSYCH, FREAKBEAT, SURF, AND SWAMPY COUNTRY MUSIC. THEY WERE FORMED SOMETIME IN THE LATE 90’S BY VOCALIST TIM CRONIN AND GUITARIST JON KLEIMAN, BOTH FORMERLY OF THE BAND MONSTER MAGNET. NO ONE SEEMS TO BE VERY CLEAR ON THE EXACT DATE. AFTER SEVERAL LINE-UP CHANGES, THEY ARRIVED AT WHAT IS NOW OFTEN CALLED THEIR “CURRENT LINE-UP”. THIS INCLUDES THE AFOREMENTIONED TIM CRONIN AND JON KLEIMAN, BASS PLAYER JOE CALANDRA, LEAD GUITARIST BRENT SISK, AND DRUMMER NEIL O’BRIEN. THE RIBEYES HAVE RELEASED 5 ALBUMS, A COUPLE OF SINGLES, AND HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO SEVERAL COMPILATIONS. THE ALBUMS INCLUDE: "IF I HAD A HORSE", "BAR BALLADS AND CAUTIONARY TALES", "NEW WAYS TO FAIL", "CALL OF THE SCRAPHEAP" AND "ALL HAT, NO CATTLE". THEY ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON A 6TH, WHICH THEY ARE SURE WILL LAUNCH THEM TO THE INTERNATIONAL FAME THEY SO RICHLY DESERVE. THEY HAVE PLAYED COUNTLESS SHOWS IN THE PAST 2 DECADES AND HAVE SHARED THE STAGE WITH SUCH ROCK LUMINARIES AS: Roky Erickson, The Reigning Sound, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, The Seeds, The Sadies, The A-Bones, The Dirtbombs and Andre Williams JUST TO NAME A FEW.
