Rick toured the world playing lead trumpet for Marvin Gaye, George Clinton, Bootsy’s Rubberband and Bill Chase. He also performed with Red Hot Chiie Peppers, Ray “Doors” Manzareck, Up with People, and was the lead trumpet player and conductor for Holiday on Ice. In 2002 he performed “We Want the Funk” at the ESPY award show at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood with Snoop Dogg and Bootsy Collins hosted by Samuel L Jackson. After the road life had run it's course he began a journey through music composition and production. His credits include TV series Stevie J and Joseline Go Hollywood through AudioSparx. He co-wrote “Lickety Split” with Fred Wesley, Maceo Parker and Richard (Kush) Griffith and it was aired on Saturday Night Live. His original music can be heard in the documentary “On the Wings of Men” that was the winner of the Bahama Film Festival. He has been an ASCAP writer/publisher since 1994
