Gustavo Porras is a guitarist and composer from Costa Rica. A graduate from the Castella Conservatory and the National University of Costa Rica where he received his degrees in classical guitar and teaching. In 2018, he completed his Masters in Classical Guitar Performance at the University of Alicante, Spain. In addition, in 2020 Gustavo obtained a master´s degree in college teaching. As a performer he has played in Europe, Central and North America. He has studied with legends of the guitar such as: Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Pepe Romero, Ricardo Jesus Gallén, Sergio and Odair Assad Leo Brouwer, Paul Galbraith and Xavier Díaz-Latorre. He took master classes with: Jordi Savall, Eduardo Martin, Juan Carlos Laguna, Alejandro Cordova and John Patitucci.
