Jamie Principle is an American music artist born in Chicago. He is one of the early pioneers of house music. His distinctive & penetrating voice is a defining one in the history of electronic music & has found a place in the hearts of dance music lovers everywhere. Jamie started to write in his teens and in 1982 created the concept of what would become his signature track “Your Love”. When Jamie met Frankie Knuckles in 1983, Frankie took Jamie's “Your Love” & made music history with the creation of the very first song to be called a house record. Jamie's music continued to be released throughout the 1980s, often crediting Frankie Knuckles as the artist when it was a joint partnership. As time progressed Principle had entries on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. In 2007 Jamie worked on "Green Velvet Presents Jamie Principle - The Call” which marked the collaboration between these two artists and sparked the hit “LaLaLaLaLa”. Fast Forward to 2016, Mr. Principle, in collaboration mode. Collaborations include - The Gorillaz, Felix Da Housecat, Nic Fanciulli, Aeroplane, & The Black Madonna. Jamie’s work with the Gorillaz consists of being featured on their last two studio albums 2017’s Humanz with “Sex Murder Party” & 2018’s The Now Now with “Hollywood”. Jamie has spent both 2017 & 2018 touring around the world with The Gorillaz. Expect to see more of Jamie Principle this year.
