Composer, clarinetist/saxophonist and producer Ulrich Drechsler earned a reputation for blending contemporary jazz with subtle elements of neo-classicism, Scandinavian minimalism, British trip hop & ambient and film music. Disarming in its honesty, his music, despite its underlying sophistication, remains absolutely accessible. It deliberately avoids any categorization and is radically unafraid of appealing directly to our emotions. 
 Since his first international successes with the acoustic club music trio "Café Drechsler", he has released over fifteen albums under his own name, some of them award-winning: including duets with outstanding pianists such as the Norwegian Tord Gustavsen or the Italian Stefano Battaglia, his unique Ulrich Drechsler Cello Quartet (a quartet consisting of bass clarinet, drums and two cellos). Since 2020, he has been presenting his most ambitious project to date, "Liminal Zone". A massive sound world consisting of several music projects ("Caramel", " Azure" & "Chrome"), concert series, listening session series, record label, etc. He also works successfully as a composer/producer of film music, curator, concert promoter and conceptionist. In addition to his own record label, Ulrich Drechsler is signed to the major label Universal Music and the German jazz label Enja Yellowbird.
