N'Faly Kouyaté is back with a new electro-pop album whose first single is scheduled for March 22, 2022. After many years of career in Anglo-Saxon countries such as Australia, the United States and especially England, N'Faly Kouyaté wants to develop his career in the French territory. The strength of N'Faly Kouyaté is that he is versatile and multiple: his creations and achievements as well as his talent as a multi-instrumentalist speak for themselves. He received a very traditional and rigorous Guinean musical education, then trained at the conservatory in his second homeland, Belgium, after what he became a confirmed and multi-talented artist. Collaborations with artists such as Peter Gabriel, William Kentridge, Phil Manzanera, Ray Phiri etc. and influences from Aretha Franklin, Harry Belafonte have led him to create a particular path in the history of African music and become the forerunner of a new style: Afrotonix. Very developed nowadays on the continent, it is a mixture of polyphony and electronic music, in harmony with traditional instruments. N’Faly Kouyaté toured the world several times thanks to his artistic projects. He has represented his group Afro Celt Sound System since 1996 and has led it to a Golden Record and two nominations for the Grammy Awards, not to mention other awards such as Songline Music Awards, Guinea Music Awards, Victoire de la Musique Guinéenne and many others... long story short, a legend of African music.
