His second album "Corazón" (2005), blended pop/rock with different musical genres followed by "Gratitud" (2008) and "Ilusión" (2011). He produced works like “Sinfónico” with the National Symphonic Orchestra of Colombia and “Conexión,” featuring several collaborations. He has received awards including the La Musa Triunfador Award from the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame and a Contemporary Icon Award at the SESAC Latina Music Awards. Fonseca founded the “Fundación Gratitud” to promote music and art as pillars for social change. He was honored with "La Orden de Boyacá en grado Oficial," Colombia's highest recognition, for promoting reconciliation and peace. His 2018 album "Agustín" got four nominations for the Latin Grammy Awards, winning Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. Celebrating 20 years in music, he released "Viajante" and embarked on the "Viajante Tour". In 2023 he won the Latin Grammy for Best Tropical Song alongside Juan Luis Guerra, for a track from his latest album "Tropicalia", which features collaborations with artists like Grupo Niche, Gilberto Santa Rosa, and Chucho Valdés. “We are a mix of cultures, sounds, accents. That’s why Tropicalia is my way of paying homage to my greatest influences, to the sounds that have inspired me and that are also part of my sound,” - Fonseca.
