En is Maxwell August Croy and James Devane, purveyors of "dream-drone" (as coined by Alex Cobb ). James and Maxwell met in San Francisco in 2009 after James sent a demo of his solo work to Root Strata (the now defunct label co-run by Maxwell and Jefre Cantu-Ledesma). After a period of correspondence, they met in person and began working together on material that eventually manifested as a full-length record on RS. More releases and tours in various countries followed until Maxwell relocated to Europe in 2014, putting En on indefinite hiatus. james, thx for the demo. s**t sounds pretty killer! you've got a good ear and the sequencing is pretty sick. we've got a full schedule of releases right now so not sure we'd be able to put this out. but! we are really interested in your work and would love to hear more. keep us posted! word, maxwell
