London based rapper Pixel emerged from South London's early mixtape scene in 2003. Born in London to Turkish Cypriot parents, Pix, as he is often referred to, started out as part of South London rap group Sly Peeps. Culminating with the 2003 mixtape First Things First. In 2005 he joined forces with seven other high performing rappers that rose to the top of record shop Deal Real's weekly open mic night. They formed WhyLout?! After a personnel reshuffle which left the group with three members: Pixel, Marvin the Martian and Jack Nimble. They released the legendary mixtape It's Been Time to critical acclaim. Pixel continued to contribute to the scene for years to come, but it would be a long wait for his 1st official solo release. In May of 2017 he released his debut solo album The Resolution. Pixel is part of the Return On Investment roster that consists of Pixel, Jack Nimble, Rooftop Elephant, and Jack Kennedy.
