Born in Hünnefeld, in 1634, Clamor Heinrich Abel was a composer, organist, and bass viol performer. Active in Celle and Hannover, he established himself in Bremen in 1694. His compositions include Erstlinge musikalischer Blumen, a suite collection containing fifty-nine pieces. Abel died in 1696.
