Marcelinho da Lua is calm, as much as possible. A former night creature, habitually crossing nights just like someone who switches a vinyl side on the phonograph, he has been much quieter since the birth of his son Sebastião, five years ago. Inspired by paternity, the carioca DJ, producer and composer decelerated his own Beats Per Minute and started to surf life in a more balanced way. The brand new fish model surfboard, with double fins and swallow style tail keeps gathering mold in the closet. But this Sean Lennon’s clone, who nowadays goes to bed and wakes up earlier, can be seen swimming, riding a bike, practicing jiu-jitsu and playing some soccer with Sebastião at Guinle Park. There are photos in the instagram proving all that. Being a father really gave my life a different course. I became more organized, more affectionate. I care much more about my time, especially when it comes to be with Sebastião – tells Da Lua. In this mood – subverting Che Guevara’s imputed aphorism, becoming more affectionate without loosing the toughness, never – Da Lua reaches his third album – Insolente – his first work in more than a decade. Almost all recorded in his own studio – the 1/4tinho –, located in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood, the album counts with participations of acclaimed artists like Fernanda Takai, Marcelo D2, Larissa Luz, Otto, Rogê, Helio Bentes (Ponto de Equilíbrio), Pedro Luís, Marta Ren, Barbara Martins, Gustavo Black Alien, Augusto Bapt and Lucas Santtana.
