In a mixture between experimental and modern pop, singer/songwriter and producer Evelina Lu creates a world which is both melancholic, mellow and ambient at times. The music floats in between genres and there's a focus on structure and soundscape, as much as the accessibility in commersial pop melodies. Growing up in Älvsbyn, a village in the north of Sweden, Evelina Lu feels at home in the northern nature and grand dynamics in the landscape. Influences from folk music and genres as singer/songwriter with focus on lyrics was the first thing that got her hooked on writing. Living in Austria, Vienna for two years also had a great influence on the artist in the sense of an electroacoustic point of view and electronic elements but also inspiration from jazz and classical intrumentation.
