Reading, U.K.-born children's entertainer Justin Fletcher is best known as an actor and presenter on the BBC's child-friendly channel CBeebies. Fletcher established himself as a children's entertainer via the numerous characters he created and embodied; perhaps his most famous came in the form of Mr. Tumble. Part of his character's oeuvre was his penchant for singing and dancing, often utilizing a combination of classic pop songs, well-known children's songs, and a few self-penned tracks. His 2012 debut, Hands Up: The Album, encapsulated his approach by interpreting a number of nursery favorites -- including "The Eensy-Weensy Spider," "Nellie the Elephant," and "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" -- and giving them a modern update by adding synths and structures that echo dance/electronic music of the early 21st century. His 2013 follow-up, Best of Friends, essentially replicated his debut album, with the addition of "The Best of Friends," an original song written for a children's entertainment tour that Fletcher was performing around the same time. For his third album, Just Party, Fletcher moved away from children's songs, instead covering a variety of party classics, including "The Macarena," Let's Twist Again," and "What Does the Fox Say?" In late 2016, Fletcher released his fourth album, Mr Tumble's Christmas Party. As the title suggests, the record was released from Mr. Tumble's perspective and focused on Christmas songs old and new. ~ Liam Martin, Rovi
