Pink Seasalt (Mahmoud Hafez) is a Cairo based songwriter, guitarist, and producer. His 2023 debut album “Out of Luck” featured a number of musicians from Cairo, Alexandria, London and Paris, combining a sweet blend of 60s Psychedelia, Alt Rock, Neo Soul, Folk and World Funk. The music tackles ideas of nihilism, self doubt, and imposter syndrome, inspired by stories of night life, short lived flings, travel and homesickness. He has since collaborated with some of the most prominent musicians in Cairo upon making his return home, where he has since been trying to tap into the Egyptian music he grew up listening to and combine it with the modern psychedelic style he had been exploring in his debut LP — a sound that manifests in his latest single “Shereet Kharban.”
