Biography

This UK punk metal unit is a supergroup of sorts, with most of its members having previously recorded elsewhere. Antiproduct is led by vocalist/guitarist Alex Kane aka A. Product and Clint Abuse, who previously worked with Ginger Wildheart on the 1999 debut by Clam Abuse, Stop Thinking, and was a member of late 80s glam metallists Dogs D’Amour. It is rumoured that various former members of outfits such as Sack Trick and Rachel Stamp are members of Antiproduct, but since they all go by aliases this is a hard fact to pin down. The early twenty-first century saw additional members Clare Pproduct (guitar), Milena Yum (keyboards), DJ Shuff (bass) and Anti-Matt (drums) join the Antiproduct gang. There would be some line-up tinkering along the way (Anti-Matt left only after a single gig, eventually replaced by Simon ‘Gonk’ Antiproductor), but Antiproduct was earning quite a bit of coverage in the UK music press for their outlandish antics. Several tours in 2000 followed (including one opening for Rachel Stamp), and their debut recording, Consume And Die … The Rest Is All Fun was issued later in the year. The band supported the album at the UK Ozzfest.
