Bristol born, Brighton based J-Felix is a producer of Modern Funk and Soul music laced with Hip-Hop/Jazz inspiration and Electronic Production styles taken from Boogie, House and Broken Beat. His first album 101 Reasons was released by Tru Thoughts where he went on to release critically acclaimed The Runaway EP and his Sophomore LP, Whole Again Hooligan along with multiple singles and remixes. This led to string of live support shows for George Clinton, Roy Ayers and Soul ll Soul. J-Felix has also toured the UK playing his own headline live shows. His DJing & live shows have seen him play across Europe and at festivals including Soundwave, Nova Batida, Glastonbury, We Out Here and Love Supreme. J-Felix's music has received widespread support including Jamz Supernova, Julie Adenuga, KCRW, WEFUNK radio, Gilles Peterson, FIP Radio and Huey Morgan. His Production and musicianship has landed him work with a wide range or artists which reflect his eclectic taste in music; Ibibio Sound Machine, Harleighblu, Mahalia, Swindle, Kojey Radical, Liv East and Roisin Murphy whilst remixing the likes of Hot 8 Brass Band, Werkha, Lakuta and Amp Fiddler . On his own records, J has worked with a plethora of artists including Byron The Aquarius,, Andrew Ashong and BODUR. As a guitarist, J-Felix has toured extensively as part of Alice Russell's band and with Swindle for the 'Mo More Normal' tour. THE MiNT EXPERiMENT came out on J-Felix's own imprint, OVN records.
