Orenda Fink has been writing, recording, releasing and touring on critically acclaimed records since 1997. Orenda got her start in Birmingham, Alabama, with the pop rock group, Little Red Rocket, who penned a deal with Geffen Records in 1996. In 2000, Orenda formed the lauded duo Azure Ray with longtime friend, Maria Taylor in Athens, GA. Azure Ray released and toured on six records throughout their lengthy career, co-wrote songs with Moby had their music featured in film and TV, and have enjoyed a cult following that still thrives today. Orenda relocated to Omaha in 2003 where she wrote and recorded collaborative albums under many different monikers: Art in Manila, O+S, Closeness, an electronic duo with her husband, Todd Fink (The Faint), High Up, a band with her sister, Christine, on vocals and Orenda on songwriting, horn and guitar duties, as well as three solo records. She currently resides in Twentynine Palms, California, where she is working on new Azure Ray and Closeness records.
