Pavlos Pavlidis is a musician, lyricist and singer, born on October 13, 1964 in Bremen of Germany and grown up in Veria. From 1984 to 1988 he was a member of the band Mora sti Fotia. In 1989 he moved to Paris and created the Brancaleone studio together with Nikos Kantaris. In that time, Pavlos composed the core of the album "Xessaloniki" . In 1992 he created the band Xilina Spathia. With Pavlidis being the lead singer, composer and lyricist, Xilina Spathia released 5 albums and made several tours in both Greece and abroad, including milestone performances along legendary acts as Sonic Youth, Pulp and The Rolling Stones. In 2003, after Xilina Spathia had split up and after completing the album Afou Loipon Xehastika (Remastered) (2004), he created the B-movies. Together they released 6 albums and two 7″ singles and they toured Greece - and abroad- several times, performing in some of the largest Music Festivals. In September 2020, he released two new 7” singles (“I nea varvarotita – Despoinis”, with the participation of Giannis Aggelakas, & “Apenanti – Afisa ton Fovo na fygei”). Μπρανκαλεόνε the most recent album by Pavlos Pavlidis (2024, Fine! Records) showcases his continued evolution as an artist, blending his signature alternative rock sound with more experimental electronic elements.
