The rock group Ten Grand was formed in 1999 in Iowa City, Iowa by Matt Davis, Bob Adams, Joel Anderson and Zach Westerdahl. The lads all met as walk-ons for the University of Iowa Writers Workshop Wrestling Team. After discovering a mutual love for loud music, all-you-can eat buffets and the film Bottle Rocket; the lovely lads decided to form a rock combo. What followed changed the trajectory of human history forever. After dozens of amazing songs, hundreds of blistering live performances and a name change, Ten Grand was poised to be the greatest band from central Iowa since Horsey Pony. Tragically, Matt Davis suddenly passed away on August 10th, 2003 and everything went to fucking shit. His impact and passion live on in the recordings the band created and the stories people tell about him to this day.
