Acoustic & electric guitars, bass, double bass, cavaquinho, synthesizers, composition, arrangement, production, sound engineer. Born in Brussels in 1957, Henri GREINDL studied to become an mechanical and computer engineer while already performing as a musician in many projects. In the 80ies he also studied arrangement and film scoring at the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. He composed for film, theater and wrote arrangements for many projects. He plays the acoustic and electric bass on wich he is mostly self-taught and the acoustic and electric guitar and some related instruments like the cavaquinho, the quatro..., is active in many bands in Belgium and Brazil as a leader or sideman, in which he likes to combine South American or African roots with Western musical languages and electronics. He plays with many jazz musicians and bands in Belgium and Brazil. Besides teaching music, he is also the artistic director and producer of the Belgian independant label Mogno Music (www.mognomusic.com).
