Rónán Ó Snodaigh is a founding member of the celebrated traditional Irish/world music band Kíla. He is one of Ireland's best and most innovative bodhrán players and a highly original singer songwriter. Described by John Walsh (Hot Press) as 'the living embodiment of Turlough O Carolan and Bob Marley', and by a fan as ‘…The Jimi Hendrix of Bodhrán' Rónán has released seven folk/ singer songwriter CD’s in both his mother tongue Irish and English language. They are; Tip Toe, The Playdays, Tonnta Ró, The Last Mile Home, Water off a Ducks back, Sos and Or agus Airgead. He has also released an album of soundtrack score The Wild Journeys. Rónán has composed music for many TV and short and animated films He has composed for a number of nature documentaries for RTE TV produced by the multi award winning Crossing The Line films including the award winning The Secret of Shannon (On a River in Ireland for PBS) for which he won Best soundtrack award at the Green screen Nature Film Festival in and was nominated for Best Music award Emmy in the News and Documentary category, 2015.
