Andy Yates started creating dance, ambient and ambient dub music during his last year at University in 1993. Several albums were created straight to cassette in the years that followed. Having taken a hiatus of a few years, he started creating again in 2012, and released his first digital album "Polar Opposite" early the following year. There was some low level critical acclaim for this and the sophomore album "The Lights of the Soul" from a few blogs such as The Eclectic Collective and Tapely. In 2017, he connected with Toby Marks (Banco de Gaia) who added Andy's track "Orbiting a Distant Star" to his compilation album "Strange Eyed Constellations 2" released on Disco Gecko records. Andy now has 8 albums released digitally, and continues to create.
