Vinnie Vincent Invasion

All Systems Go (Remastered 2003)

Biography

For years it has been argued by Kiss fans far and wide that Vinnie Vincent “saved” Kiss. Creatures of the Night, Lick It Up and Revenge gave Kiss renewed street credibility. Vincent’s name in hard rock circles speaks volumes. Vincent’s recruitment by Kiss in 1982 as lead guitarist and “Ankh Warrior” proved him to be quite the composer co-penning many of the “Klassics” revered by fans to this day. Notably, in 1983 with Vincent on lead guitar, Kiss played to massive audiences in Brazil. But the dream was to end. Business problems derailed band chemistry, forcing Vincent to leave Kiss in 1984. Vincent buried himself in the studio after the Lick It Up tour ended in March 1984, and wrote and recorded Vinnie Vincent Invasion’s debut album. Released in 1986 on Chrysalis, Vinnie Vincent Invasion killed it with “Boyz Are Gonna Rock,” topping MTV’s playlist throughout the year. The album became the fastest selling hard rock debut album in Chrysalis’ history. It is on Kerrang magazine’s 100 Greatest Rock Albums of All Time. In 1988, Vincent released a second VVI album, All Systems Go. The single “Love Kills” was featured in the motion picture ”Nightmare on Elm Street IV” and was a smash hit on MTV where Vincent appeared in the iconic Freddy Kruger sweater, hat and murder claw. Vincent laid low during most of the 1990's and 2000's as grunge and rap took hold, but in 2018 Vincent suddenly re-appeared setting the stage for his full performing and record-release return. What will be next?
