Alternative Pop/R&B artist Eric Canto began releasing singles from his upcoming album "Vibes" in July 2017 beginning with the single "Ocean". The song blended elements of contemporary EDM, pop, and dance-hall-- citing influences from Flume, Martin Garrix, and Cashmere Cat. The song "Body" was released shortly thereafter-- showcasing traces of guitar-based pop music à la Ed Sheeran, while capturing sexual imagery and R&B influences from Frank Ocean and The Weeknd. The self-produced/self-released full-length album "Vibes" was released on August 18, 2017. The album utilized a variety of genres-- citing influences from American Football to Drake. The album delves into a left-of-center approach to popular music by incorporating elements of hip/hop, electronic, emo, and indie rock. Since the release of "Vibes", Canto has released remixes of "Pound Cake / Paris Morton Music 2" and "Crew Love", as well as collaborated with EDM artists such as Alecc for the single “Nobody Else”. On April 27, 2018, Canto released his take on Drake's "God's Plan". The song titled "No Love" opened the summer of '18 when released on June 15, 2018. Canto ended that summer with a tropical-pop single titled “Back to You” on August 31, 2018. As a debut collaborative effort with chadthemaverick, “Runway” was released on October 5, 2018. The first release of 2019, "Someone", was released on January 25, 2019.
