Italian pianist and composer, Virginio Aiello (1975) boasts a high-level education in classical music, which dates back to his very first studies in accordion and piano when he was only 6 years old. He first graduated in Piano and Jazz Music at the "S. Giacomantonio" Conservatory in Cosenza and subsequently obtained a Master's degree in Jazz Composition. Over the years he has participated in various seminars and workshops with the best Italian jazz musicians and has also collaborated on various musical projects. For over twenty-five years he has been performing concerts, ranging between various musical genres, from classical to jazz, from tango to bossanova, playing the piano, accordion or Hammond organ in different contexts. In 2015 he released “El Barrio” with the Sertango Quartet, an album composed of original classical songs from “Tango Nuevo”, which received excellent feedback from both the public and critics. In 2020 his album "Piano Songs for Children" won the international "Album of the year" award organized by the American website solopiano.com In recent years he has dedicated himself to composing music for solo piano, enjoying great success on all music streaming platforms. In 2023 he collaborated on the soundtrack of the short film "The Plane" by Ukrainian director Rodion Volkov, dedicated to the children of war. He has published numerous books dedicated to piano teaching.
