Also in 1978, Bruce founded the band Back Up & Push, featured on his album Tuxedo Blues. In addition to frequent session work, he finished a second album, My Folk Heart and contributed original music to the film documentary Wild Wheels. And he has published numerous instructional books, tapes, and videos through Mel Bay Publications.
