KAIPA is a Swedish progressive rock band from Uppsala, Sweden originally formed in 1973 by keyboardplayer and singer Hans Lundin. The first version of Kaipa (1973-1982) recorded five albums (with Swedish lyrics) and became the leading Scandinavian progressive rock band. In 2001 Hans Lundin reformed the band with new musicians and the band was signed to the international record company Inside Out. Since reforming the band Kaipa performs the music with English lyrics. They create celebratory sonic worlds filled with a childlike sense of wonder, hope, and possibility (The Prog Report).
