Biography

Kerenza Peacock is a British violinist, now living in Los Angeles. She best known as the leader of the Pavão String Quartet which was founded in 1998 at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Peacock and her group became popular artists on Classic FM, BBC Radio 3, and BBC Radio 2. Peacock has recorded many albums with the Pavão String Quartet, though she has also pursued a career as a violin soloist recording concertos with the Royal Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. She records for film and TV soundtracks and has recorded with Adele, Paul McCartney , Céline Dion, Barbra Streisand, Harry Styles , Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller , P!nk and Madonna among many other artists. She has recorded for Naxos, Decca and Signum record labels. Kerenza wrote a piece for strings called Rainbow which was inspired by the rainbow which appeared as her family scattered her mother’s ashes. Kerenza played fiddle and sang on the latest album by the The Coal Porters and wrote two songs on their latest album: Chopping the Garlic and Play a Tune. Kerenza was recently appointed an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music for “making a significant contribution to the music industry”.
