Piu Piu co-founders Lee Lam (Scarry Potter) and Thanh Giang Doan (Bobby D) decided to take a step back and return to their Vietnamese musical roots, foregoing big producer names and fancy recording studios, by opening their own studio to launch their production duo: The Good Hood. Their Hip Hop & Electronic forward-thinking productions are inspired by the duo's international background and local music knowledge. Apart from touring around the world in Asia, Europe and the Middle-East, The Good Hood is famous for their Streetape EP series featuring the most promising rappers in the Vietnamese new Hip Hop generation, combined with international guest features. These Vietnamese new artists have passed a live show pre-selection at Piu Piu's weekly new rapper showcase lasting 6 months per EP, and the 8 best ones are chosen by The Good Hood to be featured on it. On top of being anchored in Asian Hip Hop, The Good Hood are not confined to a genre and have released songs of many different genres from Afro soul collaboration with a South-African singer to multiple UK Garage and Jersey Club originals and remixes.
