Memphis-based trumpeter and contemporary of such players as James Williams, Mulgrew Miller and Donald Brown. He can be heard on albums of Harold Mabern, Alan Dawson, Goeff Keezer, Donald Brown, James Williams, Bill Pierce, Bill Easley, Peter Leitch, to name a few. He has various albums released under his own name, as leader, arranger and composer for numerous small group and big band recordings, mainly for the Space Time record label.
