Ray Harris Award winning musician Ray Harris is from Glasgow Scotland. In 2007 his first album 'Ray Harris & The Fusion Experience' was released in Japan under P-Vine Records (PCD-23917) and was play-listed on Tokyo Fm. Subsequent record releases have appeared on labels in Indonesia, Korea, Japan & Europe. Ray Harris has been the opening support act for The Godfather of Soul James Brown, Sister Sledge, The Average White Band, Nile Rodgers & Chic. He has also extensively toured The UK, Europe & South East Asia. Originally Harris toured and released under the name 'Ray Harris & The Fusion Experience' a name created by P-Vine Records (JPN) years later Harris dropped The Fusion Experience name to just Ray Harris. Influences of Harris include The Doors, John Lennon, The Beatles, Blue Note artists from the 60s & 70s & classic bands such as Pink Floyd. Ray Harris masterly blends many types of music including Jazz, Soul, Disco & Easy Listening. However, each album has many genres of music. A graduate of the national jazz institute Harris plays piano & sing vocals. Ray Harris has presented for BBC Radio and has appeared live on numerous music TV programmes.
