Seth Olinsky is an award-winning American musician, producer and composer, best known as the guitarist, singer and founder of the influential underground rock band Akron/Family, as well as Cy Dune. He has toured world wide playing festivals such as Coachella, Primavera, and Roskilde, and has released records on Young God Records, Dead Oceans, P-Vine, Joyful Noise, and Crammed. He is also known for his multi-band orchestra piece Band Dialogue, and 40 drum performances alongside his rock n roll musical moniker Cy Dune. His large works have been performed at several festivals and museums including Hopscotch, SXSW, Treefort, Sled Island, Ecstatic, River to River, and MASS MoCA. In 2019 he became the newest member of the LA based, Grammy nominated experimental classical ensemble WildUP. Additionally, Seth has worked closely with legendary minimalist composer Rhys Chatham as a section leader and conductor for his 100 and 200 Guitar Orchestras performed at Lincoln Center as well as well as other US and UK festivals. His latest release on Lightning Studios is the soundtrack to the film Bronzed featuring the full score as well as additional music recorded during the sessions. The score was recorded at Lightning Studios in California and features virtuoso cellist Paul Wiancko on strings. The album was mastered at Abbey Road by Christian Wright (Radiohead, Bjork, Alexandre Desplat).
