One Track Mind

Biography

Indie pop singer/songwriter Nick Rudd first emerged as the frontman of the band Turning Curious (later known as the B-Lovers), debuting in 1983 with the Mitch Easter-produced Soul Light Season. A stint in Big Maybe (with future Velvet Crush members Ric Menck and Paul Chastain) followed before Rudd signed to the Parasol label as a solo act, issuing the singles "One in a Million" and "Gold"; 1993's Forever -- which he recorded under the alias Blown -- was the first full-length effort Parasol ever released. Rudd maintained a low profile over the next several years, appearing in bands including Weird Summer, Lonely Trailer and Angie Heaton's Gentle Tamers before resurfacing in 1999 with a new solo album, One Track Mind. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
