Biography

Wilson Williams has been a prolific recording artist since his nascent days with Norfolk, VA’s How Big Records. Williams released two 45s on How Big—“I Can’t Get Used to Losing You” b/w “Ain’t That Loving You” and “I Got a Whole Lot to be Thankful For” b/w “Honey Rock,” both of which have been reissued by Numero Group. The post-How Big Wilson ended up on the L.L. Tri Us label with another (rare) release of “Can't Get Used To Losing You.” Work followed with his brother Jerry "Swamp Dogs" Williams, some recording for Motown, and a 1978 LP on ABC. In 1994, Wilson began performing with the esteemed Los Angeles vocal group The Platters.
